Two new magazine covers promoting black adam showcase Dwayne Johnson adapted as DC’s powerful anti-hero.
black adamThe October release draws closer and closer, and no one has been a more vocal supporter of the film than its star, Dwayne Johnson. The actor took to social media to share the two new magazine covers showing him almighty as DC’s legendary anti-hero.
While one cover shows Black Adam beaming with magical energy, the other depicts him with members of the Justice Society of America.
Both black adam covers adorn the next issue of Total Film magazine. The first cover will be available to everyone, while the second black and yellow variant is the subscribers edition.
The standard cover also includes a quote from Dwayne Johnson, in which he refers to black adam as “a departure from everything I’ve played before.” Not only is black adam a new direction for Johnson, this represents a new direction for DC, following a character who is neither a hero nor a villain in his own right.

black adam will see Dwayne Johnson’s Teth-Adam meet the Justice Society of America, which is featured on the front cover above. Black Adam is expected to confront and join forces with the JSA, but whether he will end the film as an ally or an enemy remains to be seen.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra from a screenplay written by Adam Sztykiel and Rory Haines & Sohrab Noshirvani, the DCEU film stars Dwayne Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, Bodhi Sabongui and Pierce Brosnan.
