Chainsaw Man gets a special illustration by MAPPA in Switch Magazine

The September edition of SWITCH magazine revealed a special feature Chainsaw Man artwork by MAPPA, prior to the franchise’s anime adaptation. The issue is priced at 990 Japanese yen (7 USD) and it will be released in Japan on September 20. You can check out the Chainsaw Man artwork below:

MAPPA CEO Talks About His Desire To Animate All The Works Of Chainsaw Man Creator Tatsuki Fujimoto

Tatsuki Fujimoto started the Chainsaw Man manga in 2018, and it completed Part 1 in 2020 with a total of 97 chapters and 11 volumes. Part 2, which is going to focus on Denji’s school life, started on July 12 this year and has released 5 chapters so far. Viz Media licensed the manga in English. The MAPPA-animated television adaptation will premiere in October. Crunchyroll will stream it, and they describe the story:
Denji is a teenager living with a chainsaw devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he lived a low life while paying off his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.
One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and is resurrected as “Chainsaw Man” – a man with a devil heart.
