CNN’s Brian Stelter dives into sources of ‘misinformation’ as liberal media largely ignores Hunter Biden

CNN+ “Reliable Sources Daily” host Brian Stelter aired a segment Wednesday “exploring the roots” of misinformation while following fellow liberal media in largely ignoring the Hunter Biden laptop scandal.

While discussing a lecture on “Disinformation and the Erosion of Democracy,” Stelter began by explaining that disinformation and misinformation are different because the former is done without malicious intent while the latter is “intended to circumvent the truth”.

Stelter called the conference “non-partisan” despite being led by former President Barack Obama and organized by the University of Chicago Institute of Politics, headed by the former Washington campaign strategist. Obama David Axelrod, and the hyperliberal magazine “The Atlantic”.

Stelter is expected to speak at the conference on Thursday, as he pointed out at the end of the segment.

The CNN+ host then continued his monologue, primarily targeting former President Donald Trump as the main spreader of disinformation. According to Stelter, Obama joined the conference in order to draw attention to the “scourge of disinformation”, while his successor, Trump, spent four years trying to tear down “the guardrails of truth”. .

Stelter then conducted an interview with Axelrod, who claimed, in part, that while Trump didn’t “invent disinformation,” it was “turbocharged” by technology that allows him to be “micro-targeted by big data.” and algorithms”.

The peak of the Hunter Biden story, especially so close to the 2020 election, has been criticized as a clear example of liberal bias, but many outlets have continued to avoid referencing the original story.
