Meghan Markle gave her first public speech at the One Young World Summit in Manchester, UK, since stepping down as senior royal in 2020.
The Duchess of Sussex received mixed reactions from Brits and royal pundits as her recent address came after her explosive interview with US magazine The Cut.
In her interview, Markle took a brutal dig at the British royal family and media, which landed her in hot waters as many later criticized her.
Meanwhile, some inside sources have reportedly claimed the Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge, Kate Middleton, is feeling comfortable as Markle has been hit by new criticism.
Sources say Kate has been quiet for more than a year since Markle accused her of making him cry at the wedding in Oprah Winfrey’s bombshell interview.
“Kate is very calm and not one to fuss, but she can’t take too much and part of her finds it hard to stay quiet – it’s been almost two years of these constant attacks” , the insider told Closer magazine.
The source further said that Kate “almost always finds a way not to experience outside stress or negativity of any kind. But it’s hard to swallow, and she feels like there’s had digs done on her personally.”
An insider revealed that Kate would have been “comforted by the reports” that Markle “is losing popularity with her American fans”.
“She will see this as some kind of sweet revenge that her last comments apparently turned on him – the response was quite surprising – it’s almost as if Meghan caused her own downfall,” the source said.
