The Galadriel Remembered by Peter Jackson The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies was a thoughtful and stoic leader of the elves of Lórien. The Much Younger Galadriel in Amazon’s Next power rings, however, will have you questioning everything you knew about the character. Because unlike our glittering Lady of Galadhrim, Morfydd Clark’s version is only here to take names and kick the orcs’ ass.
With only three months before The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power takes us back to Tolkien’s Middle-earth, Amazon has decided to give us another look at Galadriel, who will serve as the main character in this new tale. As you can see below, Princess Ñoldorian is in chainmail and brandishing her dagger, with an elven longsword strapped to her back. Plus, everything from her pose to the way she looks at the camera screams danger, so the new set would be wise never to double-cross her.
power rings takes place some 6,000 years before the events of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. At the end of the First Age, the armies of Valar, elves and men unite under one banner to challenge Morgoth, the Dark Enemy of the World. After a devastating battle, known as the War of Wrath, the alliance defeats and banishes the fallen angel, content with the victory that has come at such a high price.
Middle-earth has not been rid of evil, however, as Morgoth’s second-in-command, the Dark Lord Sauron, continues to roam the lands. power rings picks up the story from there, telling the story of how Sauron came to power and created the Rings to subjugate all life.
The highly anticipated new adaptation of Tolkien’s fantasy world will arrive on Prime Video on September 2.
