At 280m tall, CapitaSpring is the latest addition to Singapore’s CBD skyline. Introduced by CapitaLand, global design agency Design Bridge created the brand, slogan, wayfinding and signage.
Design Bridge was called onto the project by CapitaLand before the mixed-use development was completed last year. The agency chose the name following several workshops conducted with the CapitaLand team.
Tom Gilbert, Executive Creative Director at Design Bridge, says, “Collaboration is key to the integral success of real estate projects, as they rely on multiple parties all working together to construct the building; the same goes for the brand.
The project began with Design Bridge taking inspiration from the building’s architect, who expressed the hope that CapitaSpring looked like it had grown up in Singapore itself. After consultation with the CapitaLand team, the slogan “Where the city rises” was chosen.
CapitaSpring branding uses bold, all-caps typography, which is found throughout all embedded development touchpoints.
Gilbert adds, “Design Bridge worked with the architects to continue to amplify the design idea, then worked with architectural photographer Finbarr Fallon to capture the true beauty of the building through the same branding.
