​West Discom focuses on powering drinking water sources in the summer

Madhya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Distribution Company will place special emphasis on supplying electricity to drinking water sources in the summer.

“Electricity company officials in all districts of Indore and Ujjain Divisions should pay more attention to supplying electricity to drinking water sources in summer so that citizens do not encounter any kind of trouble,” West Discom general manager Amit Tomar said while interacting with superintendent engineers and executive engineers via video conference Tuesday afternoon.

The MD said there will be a further increase in the area’s facilities and distribution centers of the electricity distribution company.

Computers, laptops, printers will be provided for the area in charge, so that delivery services to consumers increase, he added.

He said Rs 20 crore would be spent on improving supply-related arrangements and technical upgrading and Rs 50 crore on quality maintenance works.

Tomar said there is a huge demand for electricity in cities, where transformers are overloaded. “They need to be replaced or additional transformers installed so that there are no load-related issues,” he ordered.

He led on proposed new fiscal year works, revamped plan works, energy services, CM hotline, maintenance, timely availability of store equipment, procurement arrangements.

Chief General Manager Rinkesh Kumar Vaish, Executive Director Sanjay Mohase, Chief Engineer SL Karwadia, Puneet Dubey, Superintendent Engineer Manoj Sharma, DN Sharma and others were present.
